Ken Bell Named a Member of Governor Scott’s Task Force on Citizen Safety

Kenneth B. Bell, former Florida Supreme Court Justice and shareholder with Clark Partington Hart Larry Bond and Stackhouse, was appointed by Gov. Scott to a 17-member task force formed to look at the state’s “justifiable use of force” law in the wake of the Trayvon Martin shooting death.

Beach Community Bank (“Appellant”) appeals the trial court’s order denying its motion for deficiency judgment. Appellant contends the trial court abused its discretion in denying the motion because it rejected uncontroverted expert testimony as to the fair market value of the property at issue. We agree and reverse.

Escambia-Santa Rosa Bar Association Recognizes Clark, Partington, Hart, Larry, Bond & Stackhouse

The law firm and attorneys of Clark, Partington, Hart, Larry, Bond & Stackhouse received special recognition at the Escambia-Santa Rosa Bar Association annual meeting held on July 21. The firm was named the “Most Supportive Large Firm of 2010-2011” by Northwest Florida Legal Services. Jeremy Branning, Shareholder, was sworn in as the new Vice President of the Escambia-Santa Rosa Bar Association, and Carolyn Ward, Associate, received the William Meador Award for integrity in the practice of law and outstanding service to the community.
